Ink Smooshing

Hi there everyone! I'm so happy you've stopped by today, as I have a lovely card to share with you. Inspired by the current challenge at My-Scrap.Ru blog I've decided to give it a try to a new (at least for me) yet amazing technique - ink smooshing.

First I smooshed the center of the panel with blue Salty Ocean distress ink, then added Squeezed Lemonade and Picked Raspberry on its right and left side respectively. I love the result, it literally takes your breath away. To finish my card I added a violet panel to the background and added some gold sequins. And now let's get right to it:

Although being a little bit messy, ink smooshing is a fun technique to try and I hope there will be more opportunities to use it in my cards.

Newborn Baby Boy Card

Hi everyone! I'm back today with another children's card I've been working on lately. This time I thought I'd share with you something positive, something connected with the celebration of a new life - newborn baby boy card. Inspired by the latest workshop organized by Mavelu store, I decided to give it a try and to use Distress Inks for creating a background. And that's how I ended up with the following card made for a friend of mine:

All in all, I was left satisfied with my new creation and I'm looking forward to start using Distress Inks in my works more frequently.
That's all for now! Thanks so much for stopping by!:)

Eureka Stamps Challenge #142 For the Boys

Good Morning! It's been a while again since I shared anything on my blog. Sorry! I've been a little busy working on a couple of new children's cards, and now I'm getting back here to show them to you.
Today I'm sharing a masculine card for the new Eureka Stamps challenge. Honestly, it was a real challenge to create it since I decided to make watercolor digital images (the technique I'm still improving myself in) the main features of  my card. After I colored up the images I fussy cut the dreaming baby and adhered him with foam tape to add a little dimension. All in all, I like how everything worked out in the end and hope a new owner is already enjoying the card:)

Here is a close up:

Eureka Stamps Challenge #141 Shaker Cards

Hello everyone! It's Monday morning - time for another Eureka Stamps challenge. This time we are all about creating shaker cards. Shaker cards just happen to be one of my most favorite techniques so I am super excited to help bring it to you for our next challenge.

This week I've decided to use the digital image 40204 Baby Animals. While making the card it came to me that it could be nice to separate the animals from each other. So that's how the baby giraffe ended up in the background and the rest of the animals got a lovely orange balloon (as a small comfort for losing a friend).
I hope you'll like it.

Head on over to the Eureka Stamps blog to check out the other amazing design team samples and don't forget to link up your projects as well!

Hello crafty friends! Gerda Steiner Designs is having a Design Team Call! To be honest, I fell in love with her little images from the very moment I saw them, so once I came across this DT call I decided to throw my name in the hat.
I've been looking for some special freebie digital image at Gerda Steiner Designs and after some searching I found a lovely picture of Tom the turtle which I guess hasn't been used for quite some time now.

So here is what I came up with:

Eureka Stamps Challenge #140 Flowers

Happy Monday, friends! Welcome to Eureka Stamps Challenge #140: Flowers!
Frankly speaking, I'm super excited to join such a fantastic design team and try to help to inspire many of you to create something completely awesome.
For this week's challenge I've decided to use the digital image 14709 Flowers Border.
Since I hadn't had a chance to try my Lawn Fawn Sunny Skies stamps and dies yet at all, they were definitely calling my name. My favorite images in that set are two lovely birds, so I felt like making them the main features of my card. So after some thinking, planning, choosing appropriate background and embellishments the following card has been created:

Hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Happy Happy Birthday

Hello fellow crafters! Today I have a wonderful birthday card to share with you. To tell you the truth, this week has practically been dedicated to finding some inspiration/new ideas for my future projects. Honestly, it wasn't that easy, but after some thinking, browsing the Internet and, last but not least, shopping, I'm coming back to you with a bunch of fresh ideas which you'll be able to trace in my creations for the next couple of weeks.
Now back to the card:) The moment I saw the set of stamps and dies featuring two lovely giraffes, I knew they would have to be the stars on my next birthday card. Since its future owner is still just a kid, I've decided to add some shaker-card elements, but not to make them the center of attention. And that was how this lovely card was born:

Here is a close up:

Sweet Baby Elephant

Here comes my first birthday card of this month.
Didn't know how exactly to start, that's why I've decided to use a new technique, something that hasn't been present in my previous works. First idea which popped up in my head was paints. But, to tell you the truth, I'm not on good terms with them:( After some thinking, I've made up my mind to give it a try. Some time later the following card has been created:

One might say that there is nothing special in it, nothing to be proud of, but, as far as I'm concerned, I would definitely say that this card means a lot to me. It shows that there will always be many new levels waiting to be achieved.

I would like to submit this card into the below challenges:
Creative Inspirations: #311 Cute Critters
Seize the Birthday: Make Your Own Background
Cute Card Thursday: #371 Use a Sentiment
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes
