Just For EWE

Hello, crafty friends! I'm stopping by today to share a recent card of mine made for my turn for a daily post over at the CDD blog. I've recently got a couple of cute stamp sets from Craftin Desert Divas featuring farm animals and I've decided to pull them out to play around with this time. Here is what I came up with:

In order to create a background I first die cut 3 circles on a watercolor paper panel, stamped flowers from Just Bugcause stamp set and leaves from Build A Scene set on the panel, and then masked off all the images. I guess masking was the most challenging and time-consuming part of all this work. When this was done, the rest of the stuff was an easy peasy thing to do. Once I had every leaf and flower masked off, I colored the background with Distress inks and sprinkled it with water to get some spots. After the masks were removed, I colored all the images and left the paper to dry. I then stamped some animals from Punny Farm stamp set and colored them with Copic markers. The card base was as well colored with blue Distress inks and the animals were placed in the circles. To finish off my card, I stamped one of the sentiments from Punny Farm stamp set and added a couple of Pixie Dust sequins. And now you know all the tricks:)

This card was clearly about pops of colors, wouldn't you say?

Here's what I've created for you:

For today's card I've decided to go with "Tiny Treasure" clear stamp set and create a scene which can be appropriate not only for a new born, but also for a baby celebrating his first birthday. For creating a multi layer background I used sheets from "Snip & Snails" and "Happy Camper" paper pads. Once the background was complete I colored all the images with Copic markers and fussy-cut so that I could place them in the middle of this scene. I also added a couple of enamel dots to finish off my card. And that is the whole secret:) Easy peasy, isn't?

And here is what I came up with:

I prepared the background by blending it with different Distress inks colors and sprinkling with the water to get some spots. All digital stamps were colored with Copic markers and fussy-cut so that they can be placed in the middle of the ocean. Once the main scene was complete, I stamped a sentiment, white heat embossed it and placed it onto the card.

Gerda Steiner July Challenge - Mermaid

Hi there, everyone! I'm stopping by today to share a recent creation of mine which was inspired by July image for Gerda Steiner's Monthly Progressive Challenge. I've been thinking of creating a card with a school of fish for quite some time now and this little mermaid became a perfect addition to it. And now, without further ado, here is what I came up with for this months challenge:

It was a real fun to stamp, mask and color all the fish around this cute little mermaid.

Christmas Card Invasion (Part 10)

Hi there, everyone! We've finally made it home from our first part of summer vacations and now it's time to get back to the craft room to bring into life some new creations of mine.
